Abstract
The Kawah Kamojang Geothermal Field, the first developed in Indonesia, is described in this paper. The history of the exploration work is summarized. The prominent characteristics (heat source, structures, cap rock, reservoir and fluid) are briefly discussed. Three development stages are described. This steam field is presently supplying 30 MWe and will eventually feed a 140 MWe power station in 1987.
