Abstract
Geothermal valves and wellheads are major items requiring maintenance for safe and reliable operations. This paper presents the unique maintenance requirements for geothermal valves and wellheads. Equipment used in geothermal operations has features requiring different maintenance procedures than those in the petroleum industry. Valve bodies, stems and their related relief valves need proper servicing. Wellhead equipment, especially seals, require periodic inspection, testing and maintenance for surface safety.
