Abstract
Capping of a geothermal blowout near Cove Fort, Utah. The blowout occurred on October 24, 1983, and was considered uncontrollable after four days of attempts by the drilling crew to cool and cement the well. Cudd Pressure Control Inc's Strike Team arrived October 29th, 1983 to establish procedures for containment of the blowout.
