Abstract
The challenge: to optimize the potential of a large single geothermal steam field through design and development of an integrated electric power generating system linking two plants containing a total of four separate turbine generator units. How the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) engineered, financed, built, operated and provide for transmission of energy from NCPA Geothermal No. 2 and NCPA Geothermal No. 3, twin geothermal electric generating plants in the Geysers Known Geothermal Resource Area of Lake and Sonoma counties, California.
