Abstract
Hydrogen sulfide gas and other gaseous and solid contaminants originally present in geothermal fluids pose both environmental and economic difficulties. A new heat exchanger process has been developed by Coury and Associated and the Electric Power Research Institute to address these difficulties; the process appears to be particularly attractive due to its simplicity and because it removes both H2S and most other contaminants from the turbine feed.
