Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of locating permeable near vertical dykes, faults and fractures which serve as aquifers in low temperature areas in Iceland. Four different methods are discussed, geological mapping, ground magnetic measurements, head on resistivity profiling and shallow temperatures gradient holes. Examples of successful use of the methods are given.
