Abstract
The Development Status Reports are sponsored by the Division of Geothermal Energy within the Department to Energy. The purpose of these reports is to provide comprehensive and detailed summaries of the status of geothermal development and industry's plans and prospects for future development in the near and long term, on a site specific and state by state basis. The reports will be useful to equipment suppliers, financial institutions, utilities, and other private sector groups seeking reliable projections of future growth of the geothermal industry. The results of this effort will not only allow private firms to evaluate market opportunities but will provide a basis for sizing and scheduling certain government activities.
