Abstract
Enthalpy-chloride and deuterium-chloride diagrams, chemical geothermometers, and bicarbonate/chloride ratios were used to indicate reservoir processes occurring at Steamboat Springs, Nevada. The deep thermal fluid was estimate to contain 700 ppm chloride and to have a D value of -117.00/oo. The deuterium-oxygen 18 relations indicated that recharge to the thermal system is from the Carson Range at an average elevation of 6,000 ft, between Galena Creek guard station and Evans Creek. A minor contribution of water from the Virginia Range is possible.
