Abstract
Recent efforts at the Lawrence Berkley Laboratory in the study of fluid production and injection in liquid-dominated geothermal reservoirs are reviewed. Two major approaches, a semi-analytical method and a three-dimensional numerical model are described. Five examples are discussed: (1) a production injection doublet (2) a system with nine production and five injection wells, (3) temperature recovery after a period of injection, (4) consolidation during fluid withdrawal, and (5) transient pressure response during a production injection production procedure.
