Abstract
Surface expressions and prior exploratory studies at Dixie Meadows are indicative of a potential geothermal power resource. Accurate modeling of subsurface fault geometries will be integral to the successful exploration and potential development of this resource. Gravity and aeromagnetic geophysical surveys were performed in 2010 and 2002, respectively, at the Dixie Meadows area. Early-stage data analyses reveal a complex array of interlinking intra-basin faults that likely comprise the hydrothermal framework of pathways and boundaries controlling this geothermal system. Forward modeling will be carried out for further interpretation of the fault geometries and understanding the roles of the faults in a geothermal context.
