The Panyimur Geothermal Project, located in the Albertine Rift region of Uganda, presents a promising geothermal resource characterized by surface geothermal indicators such as hot springs, warm springs, travertine deposits, hydrothermally altered rocks, and gaseous emissions. This paper aims to provide a detailed geophysical and geological analysis of the Panyimur geothermal system, hypothesized to be a fracture-controlled system facilitated by deep-seated normal faults. The study employs gravity and magnetic surveys to delineate subsurface structures and assess the geothermal potential of the site. Preliminary results indicate the presence of a significant geothermal reservoir, with the potential for sustainable energy production.
