Zhijing (Zee) Wang, Chevron Fellow

 

 

The Chevron Fellow title recognizes the individual for exceptional accomplishments related to Company operations. Chevron Fellows are recognized as experts by their peers in the industry through professional societies, standards bodies and joint venture operations and joint industry/academic research and technology development projects and distinguished as innovative developers and implementers of practical solutions.

 

Once awarded, the individual retains the title of Chevron Fellow for life, in addition to any other job title. Chevron currently has 18 Fellows that are full-time employees.

 

Dr. Zhijing (Zee) Wang, manager of Reservoir Properties from Seismic (RPFS) Formation Evaluation Services (FES) in Chevron Energy Technology Company (ETC), was named a Chevron Fellow in 2007, by David J. O’Reilly, Chevron’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Zee received this honor in recognition of his achievements in rock physics and seismic reservoir characterization. He is currently responsible for delivering services and deploying technologies of formation evaluation and subsurface properties from seismic to Chevron’s operating companies and affiliates. Additionally, he is responsible for mentoring and coaching early career employees, developing relationships with universities and national oil companies, serving as a worldwide technology ambassador and advancing the "Company of Choice" initiatives. He serves on the Global Earth Science Professional Development Committee (PDC) and Reservoir Management Focus Area Technology Management Team.
