As part of my PhD at Washington University I got to work on a seismic project in Antarctica called TAMSEIS. In the course of my work on this project I spent about six months in Antarctica over the course of three years.

Research: The Transantarctic Mountain Seismic Experiment (TAMSEIS) was designed, deployed, and utilized to analyze differences in upper mantle and crustal structure using various seismic techniques. I personally employed receiver functions, surface waves, differential attenuation, and then compared the results with flexural models, topography, and gravity.

MY PHOTO GALLERY: I documented my Antarctic travels with a series of photo travel journals.
