Welcome |
Introduction I am a fourth year graduate student in the department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Stanford University, California. I am working with Professor Atilla Aydin to investigate the relationship between vein systems and pressure solutions in sandstones. For this, we are looking in particular at the Ross Sandstone Formation located in western Ireland.
I completed my Masters degree at the University of Liverpool (England) where I looked at soft sediment deformation with respect to the evolution of fault zones using both field and experimental laboratory techniques under the supervision of Doctor Dan Faulkner.
The primary aim of this website is to record and present my current academic research interests in an easily digestable form. Your feedback on my work or the website is always welcome. My contact email is at the bottom of each page.
I was born and raised in Halifax - a town about half way between Manchester and Leeds. Following my education at the Crossley Heath School in Halifax, I ventured to Liverpool to undertake a 4 year undergraduate degree in Geology. Graduating with a Masters degree (in 2006), I then moved to California to start my postgraduate degree here at Stanford.
