                    Volcano Hazards The USGS Volcano Hazards Program has updates on US volcanoes and numerous links to learning activities, images, publications, and observatories.  A good starting point to learn some volcano basics.

    Worldwide Holocene Volcano and Eruption Information
The Smithsonian Institution's Global Volcanism Program is another great place to learn about world volcanoes.  The site also contains weekly and monthly detailed reports on active volcanoes.  It's a good place to begin researching any volcano.

The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory monitors volcanic activity on the Hawaiian Islands.  The website provides daily updates on the continuing eruption of Kilauea volcano as well as monthly updates on Mauna Loa.  The website also contains plenty of information describing Hawaii's other volcanoes, volcanic hazards, current earthquakes, and movies of volcanic activity!
USGS CVO The Cascades Volcano Observatory is responsible for monitoring the volcanoes in the Cascades range (Northern California, Oregon, Washington State, and British Columbia).  The site has updates and information on numerous volcanoes and is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the May 18, 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens.
AVOAlaska Volcano Observatory
The Alaska Volcano Observatory is responsible for monitoring Alaskan volcanoes which stretch from the mainland through the length of the Aleutian Islands.  The site contains information on Alaskan volcanoes and updates on current eruptions.  Their image archive is quite spectacular!
YVO
The Yellowstone Volcano Observatory was created to monitor volcanic and tectonic unrest within the Yellowstone Caldera.  The site contains updates on ongoing activity and links to data.
