Courses

I teach several courses within the undergraduate program of the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences and through the Stanford Continuing Studies Program.

GES 1 Fundamentals of Geology
  This course is a basic introduction to the geological and environmental sciences for potential majors and others.
GES 150 Issues in the Earth Sciences
  This senior seminar fulfills the Writing-in-the-Major requirement for all GES majors.
GES 190 Field Research
  This course is taught by several faculty in different areas; I have taken students to the Warner Range for two weeks at a time.
GEO 124 Reading the Landscape:
Exploring California's Geology
  This course is offered through the Continuing Studies Program
ART 210 Yosemite: Points of View
  This course is offered through the Continuing Studies Program, Summer 2007, as part of Yosemite: An Indulgent Summer Series
