The Stanford Challenge
Terry Huffington serves as the School of Earth Sciences’ volunteer leader for The Stanford Challenge. She received her B.S. degree in geology from Stanford and is a member of the School of Earth Sciences Advisory Board. Terry is President of Huffco Group L.L.C., an international oil and gas exploration company.
In preparation for The Stanford Challenge, the School of Earth Sciences developed a strategic plan for the school’s future. This plan has helped to define the school as a major participant in both the Initiative on the Environment and Sustainability and the International Initiative.
The School of Earth Sciences plays a central role in seeking solutions and educating leaders in the areas of energy and the environment. As an energy professional, Terry is well-positioned to lead the school’s volunteer efforts and ensure that the School of Earth Sciences has the resources it needs to make a difference in addressing these important issues.
