    Geophysics of the continental lithosphere; continental structure, tectonics, deformation, growth and composition. Controlled-source reflection and refraction seismology on land and at sea. Shear-wave splitting. Electromagnetism. 2008 winner of the Allan V. Cox Medal for fostering undergraduate research.
