Most of the R&D and innovation was initially funded by oil and gas companies through the Stanford Rock Fracture Project, a research consortium co-directed by Professor Atilla Aydin and Professor David Pollard.

The Igeoss company, founded by Professor David Pollard, Dr Laurent Maerten and Frantz Maerten, will provide soon the softwares through a support web site, for industries and academic people.
