Stanford's Fair Use Policy
  This website offers a wealth of information about Fair Use and copyright issues at Stanford University. Includes overview sections, primary materials, current legislation, a web guide, and information for librarians.
 
Stanford's Honor Code
  Stanford's honor code is a statement on academic integrity. It articulates University expectations of students and faculty in establishing and maintaining the highest standards in academic work.
 
Services
Center for Teaching & Learning
  The CTL promotes excellence in teaching and learning by offering conferences, teaching evaluations, technology assistance, TA training, and student tutoring. Services are available for faculty, TAs, and students.
 
Counseling & Psychological Services
  Located in Vaden Health Center, CAPS provides evaluation and counseling to students needing personal, couple, or group therapy. They also provide consultation to faculty, staff, or students who are concerned about another student or need advice on how to refer a student to counseling.
 
Stanford Office of General Counsel
  This office offers information to educate Stanford staff and faculty about laws applicable to Stanford operations. There is a lot of legal information available in their "Stanford FAQs" and "University FAQs" sections.
   
Tools
Center for Teaching & Learning Teaching Docs
  The CTL offers a variety of handouts centered around preparing for and leading classes. Be sure to take a look at their Speaking of Teaching Newsletter, with topics such as How to Create Memorable Lectures or Designing and Teaching a Course.
   
CourseWork & CourseForum
  CourseWork is Stanford's course website development & distribution system. After registering your course or research group (called "Z groups"), you can easily upload a syllabus, course materials, make announcements, send out class emails, or have an online threaded discussion (using CourseForum). Quickly becoming the University-wide standard, CourseWork now supports over 350 quarterly classes and 12,000 users.
   
E-brary & electronic Journals
  View digitized books and journals, or make full-text searches.
   
GIS software & data
  Branner library in Mitchell Earth Sciences is the central on-campus location for GIS services at Stanford. Besides computers equipped with ArcGIS, they also offer reference and research consultation, downloadable software, and data resources.
   
Stanford Seals & Emblems
  Download a wide variety of official artwork in EPS, TIF, BMP, or GIF format. Seals, emblems, and signatures are available, as well as stationary layouts. Usage guidelines are also provided.
