Lab software upgraded for Winter Quarter 2012

The system and application software on the computers in the lab has been upgraded for winter quarter, 2012. New applications were installed to support winter courses and applications from autumn quarter were removed. See the Supported Software list.
Per policy, all user files created on the lab computers from autumn quarter were erased.
Mac OS X upgraded to version 10.6.8

As part of the normal quarterly software upgrades, the Mac OS X partition on the iMacs was upgraded to version 10.6.8.
Lab software upgraded for Spring Quarter 2011

The system and application software on the computers in the lab has been upgraded for spring quarter, 2011. New applications were installed to support spring courses and applications from winter quarter were removed. See the Supported Software list.

Lab computers upgraded to Windows 7 - software cleaned up

In preparation for Autumn quarter 2010, the A65 lab PCs have been upgraded to run Windows 7 Professional instead of Windows XP. The alternate Mac OS X operating system stays at version 10.5.8.
As a completely new system and software image is required for Windows 7, this opportunity was taken to "clean up" the system and remove applications that were requested for courses in previous years but are not currently used. During this academic year, only software needed for current courses will be installed on the A65 computers, plus certain licensed base software such as Matlab that is permanently installed.
Other pages on the lab website may still reference the old Windows XP operating system and software installations. Those pages will be updated as soon as possible.
Lab door combination changed
August 2010
The combination code for the lock on the lab doors was changed. Request the new code from the A-65 lab management.
