G.R.I.D. Plotter Release Forms

Last revision November 25, 2008

Click on the link below for the plotter you are using. This will take you to the appropriate release form. You can only access the release forms from the computers in the G.R.I.D. lab. Connections from other computers will be rejected.
Supply your SUNet ID on the Webauth page to get access to the release form. You must be affiliated with the School of Earth Sciences or your SUNet ID will be rejected. If your SUNet ID is rejected by mistake, contact the G.R.I.D. lab managers.
You may have to wait a few minutes for the print job to appear on the release form. Simply refresh the form page until your job appears (you will be able to identify your job by the file name, computer name, and SUnet ID contained in the job number).
On the form, please supply the P-T-A to be charged, the length and width of the plot in inches, a faculty contact, your name, and the purpose of the plot. Then click on Release. Your job will not print until you release it! Jobs will print in the order released, not in the order submitted. If your job is not released within 48 hours it will be discarded. The cost for plotting is $1/square foot, so a 42" x 60" poster will cost $17.50.

You will be charged for all jobs you release to the Plotters (unless cancelled).
See Usage Policies regarding billing adjustments.

Deleting/Cancelling Jobs
If you realize that you have made a mistake or want to cancel your plot for any reason before it starts printing, click on the link above for the appropriate plotter release form and then choose your plot job from the drop down menu and click the delete button. You will not be charged for plot jobs deleted using the web form.
If you want to cancel a job that is already printing, first make sure that it has been deleted from the print queue (using the link above), and then cancel the plot using the buttons on the plotter itself. If you just cancel on the front panel without making sure the job is deleted from the queue, pangea may try to print it again. Finally, send an email to the GRID lab managers stating that you cancelled the plot job using the front panel. You must specify the date, time, SUNet ID, account number, length, and width in your original submission and the length and width of the actual paper used during the aborted plot, so it can be identified in the accounting database and the charge adjusted down.
