Kevan Moffett
Graduate Student
Research
Kevan's PhD research is on wetland hydroecology. She analyzes field measurements and numerical models of plant and soil hydrology to better understand coastal salt marsh ecosystem structure and function. Kevan's research interests broadly span hydrology and water resources as components of the earth system: hydroecology, physical and biological spatio-temporal patterns, surface/subsurface and land/ocean exchanges, land/atmosphere climate feedbacks, coastal process dynamics, physics-based environmental modeling, wetland function, and human/water systems. She also pursues interests in interdisciplinary epistemology, science pedagogy, and communicating science.
Teaching
Kevan's teaching experience includes mentoring independent undergraduate research projects and serving as an assistant to a Physical Hydrogeology graduate lecture and a Death Valley undergraduate field trip. She has also served on department and student-group committees.
