Graduate Education and Curriculum
The faculty members in EESS have very strong graduate groups and premier research programs.
EESS brings coordination to course offerings for both undergraduates and graduate students, and allows the faculty to identify gaps in educational needs. Moreover, through its
courses, seminars, and speaker series, EESS offers graduate students an opportunity to be part of an intellectual community with common or related interests and goals.

Masters
The purpose of the master's program will be to continue a student's training in one of a broad range of Earth science disciplines and to prepare
students for either a professional career or doctoral studies.

PhD
The objectives of the doctoral program are to enable students to develop the skills needed to conduct original investigations in
environmental and Earth system sciences, to interpret the results, and to present the data and conclusions in a publishable manner. We also intend that our
graduates obtain strong communication skills and leadership skills, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively with the public.

Undergraduate Curriculum
Earth Systems Program offers a BS and co-terminal BS and MS degree, is a model for interdisciplinary education, engaging faculty throughout the university in the teaching of
global environmental challenges, integrated Earth Systems processes, sustainable practices, and solutions to environmental problems.
