4. Printer access from pangea and Unix workstations

Once you have registered your printer and configured AppleTalk as needed, you can request that a pangea printer queue be established so that programs that are run on pangea can use this printer. This is also the easiest way to allow Unix workstations to print. They can use the very simple built-in LPR protocol to send jobs to pangea, which will then forward them on to the printer. Contact the system manager to get a new pangea print queue established for your printer if you want Unix access.
