Email service phaseout on pangea

Instructions for closed accounts that are still forwarding email

Last revision August 3, 2007

As described in news items, email service will end on pangea by November 1, 2007, and email forwarding will end on June 30, 2008.

In the past, when someone left the university and their pangea account was closed, we could offer to forward any email sent to their old pangea address to a new address of their choosing. That forwarding was "indefinite", but now it will end on June 30, 2008.

If you are in this group, you have a little less than a year to notify anyone still sending email to the pangea address to start sending mail directly to your new address. Starting July 1, 2008, email from your old pangea address will no longer be forwarded.

Follow this link for some ideas to help you manage this address updating.

If you are ready to end email forwarding before June 30, 2008, or need to switch it to forward to another address before then, contact the pangea system manager.
