Alumni

Stanford has graduated Earth scientists since 1894, when geologist George Ashley received the first Ph.D. awarded by the university. Today there are more than 3,000 living Stanford Earth Sciences alumni who work worldwide in academics, industry, and government. Our alumni form a diverse community that is helping shape the future of the earth sciences as well as other fields.
