Rebecca R. Hernandez is a doctoral student in the Department of Environmental Earth System Science and conducts research through the Department of Global Ecology at the Carnegie Institution for Science (Stanford, CA) under the advisement of Chris B. Field.

Tessaly Jen, Program Associate

Tessaly graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Systems in
2011 (oceans track).   She is now pursuing a Master's degree in Earth
Systems with a focus on environmental education.  Tessaly
co-coordinates Earth Systems 10 (Introduction to Earth Systems), teaches
EARTHSYS 10 class sections, and is a Teaching Assistant for the Earth
Systems Senior Seminar, EARTHSYS 210.

Owen graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Systems in 2011 (biosphere track).   He is now pursuing a Master's degree in Earth Systems with a focus on environmental problem solving, modeling, behavior change, and sustainability in developing countries.  Owen co-coordinates Earth Systems 10 (Introduction to Earth Systems), teaches EARTHSYS 10 class sections, and is a Teaching Assistant for the Earth Systems Senior Seminar, EARTHSYS 210.


Nik Sawe

Nik Sawe, PhD Student

Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment & Resources

Nik Sawe investigates how information in environmental decision-making and risk perception routes through the brain using neuroeconomics techniques. He is interested in risk perception and its impact on philanthropy, and upstream of that, how framing effects, education, and semantics impact our environmental risk perception.
