Graduate Student Lounge (NW corner of Mitchell Building - Patio level)

Come and enjoy the new graduate student lounge. The lounge is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, espresso machine and computer. It is a perfect place for group meetings, socializing or even just as a quiet place to study. It is unlocked during the day and accessible by key code at night. Contact your GSAC representative for the combination.

Upcoming Events

Quarterly: Town Hall Meetings
Look for an email near the end of the fall term for the GSAC led Town Hall Meetings. This is the best way to learn about the issues going on in your department, and also the best way to let your voice be heard if you have ideas or concerns. Plus, there is free food and drink, so please attend.

Winter: GeoSnow!

Save the date for this year's GeoSnow. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to ski in Tahoe with other School of Earth Sciences folks. No prior skiing experience required.

Spring: Research Review
Got some new results this year? Show your stuff at the SES Research Review We have two poster sessions and a handful of talks. This is an awesome place to present your research, learn what others in the department are up to, get free food and drinks, and/or get practice for your next meeting. Plus, there are expensive PRIZES for the best poster/presentation, so there are additional incentives! See you there!
