Announcements 01-14-09: Geosnow is Full. Sign up for the waitlist If you're one of the dozens of Grad Students in the School of Earth Science who signed up for GeoSnow, watch your email for details regarding housing and transportation arrangements. If you did not sign up but would still like to go, you can fill out the Waiting List survey: If a spot opens up, we will contact you. The response this year has been tremendous, and we know it's going to be a fun-filled weekend of relaxing and recreating with our SES family. 01-04-09: The time has come to sign up for Geosnow 2009! In case your brain has stopped functioning due to AGU, finals, or holiday merriment, here are the details once again: What: GeoSnow 2009!!! The general idea: Two nights of accommodation are provided free of charge. Discounted lift tickets/ski packages are made available. It is guaranteed to be a fun-filled weekend, and a great opportunity to spend some quality time with other SES folks. Even if you don't want to ski, please come and hang out. If you want to sign up (you know you do!), here's what you have to do:
Here is some important general information to be aware of: ** IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SKI, but still want in on the fun, you need to complete the survey and write a check for $60 ($120 if you're bringing a guest) to hold your place. If you do not show up, we will deposit the check. If you do show up, we will return the check to you. ** No changes may be made to your reservation after the Friday deadline, and there are no refunds (none whatsoever). If something happens to prevent you from going, you can "sell" your ski package to, but you must let Marianne Karplus know of your arrangement so she can get the tickets to the right person. We will keep a waiting list of people who fail to sign up by the deadline, so we MAY be able sell all or part of your ski package. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE that we will be able to do this. ** Housing details, vehicle assignments, and where/when to pick up your ski tickets will follow soon. ** Have Questions? Contact one of the following: Your GeoSnow Department liaison (listed below), Marianne Karplus, or Mary Van der Hoven The Geosnow Department liasons are as follows: Happy New Year, and we look forward to hearing from you!
