ROCK PHYSICS
Research in Rock Physics encompasses experimental, theoretical and computational studies of the elastic wave velocities, hydraulic permeability and electrical properties of rocks and soils. The research is applicable to a wide range of interdisciplinary problems involving the state and movement of fluids in the earth's crust. For additional information see Stanford Rock Physics and Borehole Geophysics Project or Amos Nur, Gary Mavko, or Mark Zoback.
