Geophysics Personnel Directory Help
Using the Directory
Use the Quick Search or Advanced Search to find information about a specific person. This will generate a brief list of results for you, with names, e-mails and phone numbers. Click on the person's name to find more information about them.
Use the Browse feature to view listings of groups of people, such as all faculty, or all students within a particular department. This will give you a different view, showing photos (if available) and descriptions of research interests, as well as links to their online CVs, when available. Think of this as an online version of the faculty catalog.
Special features for Stanford Earth Sciences people
If you are a member of the Stanford Earth Sciences community, you can log in with your SUNet ID to see more details - such as additional contact information, or research support information on faculty CVs. In addition, when you perform a search, you will have the option of sending an e-mail to the list of people you have found. You can use this feature to generate e-mail lists tailored to specific categories by department, position, or location. (These features are available only to people whose SUNet IDs appear in the database.)
Editing your information
Individuals with entries in the database may edit most of their own information, including both their profile and CVs. Click on the Edit link in the column of links at the left of this page; or, if you are already logged in, click the "Edit Profile" link. You will be prompted for your SUNet ID and password; this will allow you to edit your information.
Some information - such as name, title, department, and SUNet ID - is restricted to administrators only. If you need to edit this - for instance, if your name changes - contact Carrie Bannai, the Geophysics administrator.
