New CT scanner - GE HiSpeed CT/i

 

Our new CT scanner arrived last March. It is a General Electric model HiSpeed CT/i medical CT scanner.

Its features include:

  • axial and helical (continuous) scanning modes
  • scout scans
  • kV range of 80 - 140
  • mA range of 40 - 400
  • minimum slice thickness of 1 mm
  • Gantry tilt range of +/- 30 degrees
  • 2 Silicon Graphics Indigo host computer workstations
  • Magnetic optical disk drive MAXOPTIX T4-1300
  • CD-ROM Drive
  • Network image transferring system
